Good Monday morning to all of you, I hope you had a wonderful weekend and a safe Halloween. Today, I’m honored to share with you that I’m now a member of the first ever Design Team for a sweet little stamp company called Just for Fun Rubber Stamps. So new, they just finished setting up their blog, and still working on some things so they can share information about them, and their product. I was asked quite some time ago, and have been keeping it secret ;). Also, you can see links to the rest of the Design Team and their blogs listed below, some of the Design Team members have never had blogs, so I hope you take the time to visit them and say hello.
For my card today, I wanted to color this image called Le Chapeaux, but I like Mary. She’s beautiful, and so much fun to color. I used my Prismacolor pencils on her, and Distress Inks on the background. Before I worked on the background colors, I clear embossed the Flourish stamp in the corners (can’t really see).
For the frame, I started with dark cardstock and cut, emboss with Spellbinders Wizard, remove the center. With the acrylic paint dabber’s, lightly cover brown paper, then use a sanding block and lightly sand to show the embellishments on the frame. So I could get more of a distressed look, I used my finger and the dabber’s then lightly rubbed here and there, do the same with the gold dabber. Add your ribbon and pearl, then assemble as shown.
Thanks for visiting.
Linda ;)
