Good morning and welcome once again to the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store blog hop. As a gift to one of our loyal readers, one lucky winner will receive a wonderfully decorated assortment of Barb Schram's ribbon flowers and a generous selection of ribbons from the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store. But, if you are starting here you are in the wrong place. You must first visit Sharon Johnson (Stamp Simply Ribbon Store), where she will give you more instructions about the hop, and the next blog for you to visit. In order to be in the drawing, you are encouraged to leave comments along the way. Each Design Team member’s blog will be given a number, and at 6pm on Saturday March 13, 2010, a number will be drawn that corresponds to the blogs involved. Example: Seven Design Team Members would represent numbers 1 through 7. This number will be drawn by Random.org that will indicate which blog the prize will be drawn from. Once again Random.org will be used to draw another number from the comments left on that blog…thus creating our lucky winner that will be notified via e-mail. While commenting is not required, it is highly recommended so that you will be eligible for the drawing. Good luck ;)
Our challenge for today’s hop was to create a 3D project from something we made or altered with no restrictions. I love to create altered projects, so that is what I have for you today. As you all know flowers are my main thing LOL! The flowers were created by using the same technique I used on our last blog hop, only this time I used the Standard Circle Large Nestabilities™ to cut them out. Find the center, and draw a spiral line from the edge to the circle center, cut on the line. Start wrapping from the outside toward the center. I used a medium size glue dot to hold in place. I used the On the Vine Border Grand Borderbilities™ to create the leaves and steam, and sponged with the stamp pad. The box was painted with acrylic paint both inside and out, when dry glue paper to the box as shown. Punch holes around the lid sides, and with long brads attach Tulle and Champagne ribbon as shown. I left long tails, but you can cut them shorter. After the ribbon was in place, I finished the top. I’m not sure you can see in the picture, I added small beads the the lady’s headpiece for a little extra pop. The tag was stamped with JustRite’s Seeds of Kindness Set. And of course the gorgeous paper is from Graphic45 Le’ Romantique. I used 12 x 12 paper on this box, but Sharon now has 8 x 8 pads available. NOTE: Please forgive all the picture of this project… It’s pretty good size, and I wanted to be sure and get it all in.
The next blog for you to visit is Holly McMillen, but remember you should start at the beginning with Sharon Johnson Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.
