Hello there bloggers, I’m just popping in to say hello. I’ve been doing things around the house, cleaning, organizing my craft room, and just hanging out with DH. I thought it would be good time to take a few days to do some things I’ve been putting off, but I will be back soon (a day or two).
I have a few pictures to share of the Irish wedding we went to last Saturday afternoon. The weather was awful, I felt bad for the wedding party because the ceremony was outside, it was so cold, windy and rainy (totally Irish). The wedding started at 4:30 and there was a little break (no rain), so the bride decided to go ahead with an outside wedding by the pond. We all froze, but after the vows were said, everyone went inside for a wonderful time.
The pond was green for St. Patrick's Day.
The Bagpiper stood at the entrance and greated everyone, and played during the ceremony. Wonderful...
Bridal party waiting for the Bride.
During the ceremony, the dark clouds, it was so cold, but lots of fun.
Thanks for visiting today, and I should be back in a few days.
Hugs Linda ❤❤

Beautiful location and what an interesting wedding. It looks cold, but what beautiful wedding pictures they will have. I always love themed weddings that make their day stand out and special.

My take is that it's good luck to be married on a day with rain. I've been married 44 years & it rained cats & dogs the day we eloped to Las Vegas.

I was a bit startled when you mentioned Irish Kilts because I had only heard of Scottish Kilts. After a little research, I found that the Irish adopted the wearing of the kilt from the Scots to indicate their Gaelic heritage. I even found out that there are modern versions of the kilt that are worn as everyday wear, not just for special occasions. Isn't the internet grand?! Your wedding photos are lovely. The color of that sky tells the weather story better than words ever could!
