Hello there...

It's been a few days since my last post, but I've been a little under the weather...  I do have a couple of projects finished, but haven't started blogging about them.  Hopefully in a couple of days I will have them up and running.  Thanks for visiting, I will be back soon.

Looking back at 2012

WOW! 2012 flew by, I can’t believe it's already January 10, 2013.

I want to thank each one of you for your sweet comments, continued support, and encouragement  on YouTube, and on my blog.  You are the reason I keep pushing myself to the next level with my crafts, and allowing me to share what I do with you.

Today while reflecting back on all the good things, I went back through my 2012 posts, and picked some of my favorites projects.  

I especially want to thank the following companies (In alphabetical order below), for giving me their support,  the chance to play with their wonderful products, and asking me to be a member of their Design Teams this past year.

Where have I been?

 

 

 

Well, DH and I thought we would spend several days at the lake.  The above picture was taken from the back of our houseboat showing you the view we are very privileged to have.  Now that summer is over, the lake is a very quite place, and we love being there.

I am working on a project as I type this post, that will be posted tomorrow evening :)  I've missed all of you, but I must admit, I have had a blast this summer.

Busy Days of Summer

Hi everybody, sorry for the lack of posts, but things on this end have been busy, busy, busy.  In my last post I mentioned that I had the flu (the entire family).  When I started feeling better DH and I hitched up our Ski boat and headed to the lake thinking we would spend a day on the houseboat, and just relax.  While there we had an electrical fire in the engine of the Ski boat, and had to be towed...  Long day!

When we returned home, someone(s) had been in our backyard and stole lots of DH tools, and went thought his truck and took items including the key to our big rolling back gate, among others.  Fortunately, the police did recover most of the tools, but not the key to the gate, so we had to have things re-keyed.  We asked the police if they had ever had problems like this in our area, and they said no, and wondered if someone knew we were going to be gone...   We are having surveillance video cameras placed around the house that will record both day and night.  From now on all the Surveillance cameras will be on, and if anyone comes on our property from any angle of the yard, they will be recorded. 

Then, I broke my glasses :( and without them I can't see a thing.  I went to my eye Dr. last Thursday, and they said I should have my new ones in about a week. As of today no glasses :( and without them I can't really see to create...

A couple of weeks ago DH went to play golf in the Fireman Olympics, so all the kids/Grand kids (with some of their friends) came over and stayed with me because I was here by myself.  It was so much fun to have all of them here at the same time.  (See picture below).  

 Plus DH won a Gold Medal :)

With summer in full swing at our house, and all the kids running in and out of the house (which I love).  I will post when I can.  When school starts I'm sure everything will get back to normal, and I will be posting more projects.  But until then I can't promise anything because I never know what's happening around here from day to day LOL!!

Retirement is good :)

A picture to share

I thought I would share a picture that looks just like the houseboat we bought.  Ours is 2 ft. longer on the back deck, but they look the same none the less.  

Before I agreed to this new adventure in our lives, I made DH promise that whatever houseboat we ended up with, I had to have enough room for crafting, and internet LOL!!  We looked at boats for many years, and were so excited when we found this one.  Since I live in California, and we bought the boat in Arizona, and California being strict with the environment, it has to sit in quarantine 7 days in AZ, then 15 days in California before we can put it in the water, with TONS of inspections in between...  We might be lucky enough to have it in the water by the forth of July.  

 

 

Since I'm still helping out at my old day job, I've had very little time to make anything.  But, I do have several images colored/complete, ready for a card.

Busy, Busy...

Hello bloggers.  Today's post will be a short one, just thought I would share a picture of my sweet Granddaughter.  Poor thing, she has to wear the black sling for quite a while and it's getting hot here.  Today is was 95º, only to get hotter.  

As for me, my old job called and asked if I would come back for a short time, and help them close out some files, because the State of California closed down all Redevelopment Agency's state wide. I told them I would, and thought it would only be for a couple of weeks... I hope by the end of next week I will be done, and back to enjoying my retirement/crafting/family.  I have been coloring in the evenings when I get home, and should have some projects ready to post soon.

Before all the above started DH and I purchased a houseboat from out of state, and I've been dealing with that as well.  Hopefully, the houseboat will be here by the June 1st.  We are so excited. 

Well, that's it for now.  Will keep you updated, and back with a project real soon (I hope).

Hello...

It's been awhile hasn't it?  Last weekend we had a bad storm come through where we live, lost power the entire day, then the following day the electric company was working on fixing things so we were without power that day as well.  But, we are up and running now so it's all good.  I hope all is good where you are :)  

I've been working on a couple of video's, and having one heck of a time with my video camera...  But, if all else fails I will be back Saturday for another Stamp Simply Ribbon Store blog hop.

New addition...

Hi everybody, just popping in with a quick post to share a picture of my new "GREAT Granddaughter Jennasis. She was born two days ago, both mom and Jennasis are doing great, my Grandson is as proud as can be.  

The pictures were taken by a lady at the hospital, and I think she did a beautiful job!!!  I wish my baby pictures looked like this LOL!

It's Was Cold...

Hello there bloggers, I’m just popping in to say hello.  I’ve been doing things around the house, cleaning, organizing my craft room, and just hanging out with DH.  I thought it would be good time to take a few days to do some things I’ve been putting off, but I will be back soon (a day or two).

I have a few pictures to share of the Irish wedding we went to last Saturday afternoon.  The weather was awful, I felt bad for the wedding party because the ceremony was outside, it was so cold, windy and rainy (totally Irish). The wedding started at 4:30 and there was a little break (no rain), so the bride decided to go ahead with an outside wedding by the pond.  We all froze, but after the vows were said, everyone went inside for a wonderful time.

 The pond was green for St. Patrick's Day.

The Bagpiper stood at the entrance and greated everyone, and played during the ceremony.  Wonderful...

During the ceremony, the dark clouds, it was so cold, but lots of fun.
