Today some of the ladies on the Crafty Secrets Design Team are having a blog hop, and will be posting projects on their blogs. We were asked to make a project or unusual shaped card. I have all links to their blogs at the bottom of my post, and don’t forget to visit the Heart Warming Vintage Blog for links to some really cute patterns, templates and samples.
For my unusual shaped card today I didn’t use stamps. I had to use this darling image from Crafty Secrets - Christmas Image & Journal Notes. These cute little ladies have been in my {heart} since I first laid eyes on them. And because they have on pink has nothing to do with it LOL! And that snowflake!!!! WOW! this is the first time I’ve used this Spellbinders die, and it won’t be my last. But I need to hurry since Christmas is what, 90 days away (approx). My how time flies.
About my card today. Cut Vanilla cardstock 9-3/4” x 4-3/4” then score at 7” and fold down. I cut a piece of pattern paper to fit the top portion of the card, and punched the bottom edge. (top of card). If you add ribbon like I did, now is the time to attach it to your front flap, and tape underneath.
Cut your pattern paper 7” x 4-3/4” and score at 4-3/4”, I stamped my design on my paper. Slide the scored end up under the top flat, and tape in place. NOTE: The score line is actually your card fold (see photo’s 2 & 3). Tape together at top.
Distress paper around photo, and assemble as shown.
I love this card pattern, it’s perfect for embellishments (lots) on the top portion, cause the fold is almost in the middle of the card. Please note that all supplies used for this card are listed at the bottom. For those of you asking for bigger photo’s, and more of them, here you go ;)
