Part of my monthly requirement for being on Spellbinders Blog team is to do at least one scrapbook layout each month. So, I thought for the next 12 months I would work with some old, and wonderful photo's of my mom, and dad.
Even though my mom passed away in 2005, I still make a Mother's Day gift each year. Just habit I guess, and one I don't want to break. It reminds me what a wonderful lady she was, and all of the opportunity's she passed my way. So here's to you Mom, always remembered, and never forgotten ;)
I have a very hard time taking photo's of 12 x 12" layouts, and this one is no exception LOL! but in real life it's beautiful. When I started working on this page, I was glad to finally be working with my old family pictures, so I can put them in my scrapbook. Well, now that it's finished, both my husband and I think it should be put in a shadow box to hang on the wall in our living room, it's very 3D, and no way will it fit in a scrapbook album.
Thanks for visiting today, if my computer doesn't die on me, I will be back on May 1st for National Scrapbooking Day.
Thanks - Linda ;)

Wow! I just posted on your 'dolly" card that I think it would be a great style for pages about my grandmother. Well, you've added another layout idea for me to think about! I love the lace, the curled paper 'frame" and the colors. You and your mom are lovely ladies and do favor one another! Thanks for more beautiful inspiration for my tribute album.

Linda, thanks so much for sharing your layout of your mom!!! Beautiful. I just love those pictures. I call "our" parents, Movie star beauties. Jet black hair and skin so polished white and perfect. I hope you don't mind if I scrap jack your layout. I have a photo of my mom, almost exactly like yours. So, I thank you for sharing your description, as I will use it as a guide for completing my layout. Lovely soft tones in your layout!!!
