I’m thrilled to share the S4-294 Beaded Ovals. I have always loved the look of parchment craft, and thought the S4-294 Beaded Ovals was perfect for creating the look with vellum paper. I have a step-by-step tutorial to share how you can create this effect.
Start of Tutorial
Here’s all the dies in this set. I used the largest die, #4 for this technique.
Blush Blossom cardstock was only cut, not embossed, while the vellum cardstock was cut AND embossed. Cut the cardstock then separately cut vellum, leaving vellum in the die until the very end.
I used BasicGray’s double ended embossing tool, piercing mat, and embossed each little scalloped bead (that’s what I will call them for this tutorial). NOTE: Do not press hard, you will tear the vellum.
Here is what it will look like once all beads have been embossed using the tool.
I went back over the area I embossed with the embossing tool using the white PrismaColor Pencil for a deeper white.
I traced around the outside edge of the S4-112 Classic Oval Small #3 to create my center.
Same step, only I removed the center die after it was traced around.
While you have the Classic Oval die template handy, cut/emboss a piece of white cardstock.
Here I removed the vellum from the die template, with the right side of the project facing up.
Pick a stamp that is small.
On a separate piece of cardstock, stamp image with dark ink.
Using the White Opaque Pen, trace over design while on a thick mat, and continue all the way around.
Here you are looking at the right side again.
Not required, but for an added effect, pierce holes in paper. It looks very nice without them.
Layer the vellum over the colored cardstock die cut.
Stamp your sentiment on the white cardstock oval.
Add dimensional adhesive squares.
Finished piece.
The rest of the card was made like most cards by layering, cutting/embossing. I also painted the chipboard using crackle paint and when dry added Diamond Glaze, and glitter. Allow a little drying time, and then add another layer of Diamond Glaze over the glitter. The reason for doing this is when the glaze dries; the glitter will not come off your project because it is sealed between the layers of glaze. I also used S4-242 Big Scalloped Border Borderabilities™ Petite to layer coordinating cardstock on the card front. The flower was cut/embossed with vellum, and the brad helps hold the layers together. And last by not lease is that beautiful ribbon, and lace.
Supplies:
Spellbinders™: S4-294 Beaded Ovals #4, S4-112 Classic Oval Small #3, S4-072 Flower Creations, S4-242 Big Scalloped Border Petites Borderabilities.
Stamps: Cupcake Party Large SL28 – Crafty Secrets.
Cardstock: Blush Blossom, Whisper White, Vellum Cardstock – Stampin’ Up! Collection Combo Pack Postcards from Paris & Sweet as Cherry Pie by Webster’s Pages – Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.
Stamp Pads: Oregano Ranger Adirondack Dye Pad – Eclectic Paperie.
Ribbon: May Arts Crochet Lace, 100% Satin – Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.

For my second project, I thought some jewelry would be fun. I used the S4-294 Beaded Ovals #1 (twice) and #2 die template once, then cut/embossed using Gold Foil. Again, I used S4-294 Beaded Ovals #1 (twice) and #2 die template once, and cut black cardstock then glued the cardstock to the back of each piece of foil for more thickness. Take the S4-110 Classic Ovals Large #1 die template, and trace around the outside edge of the die on the larger image, again using the #1 die from the Classic Ovals large, trace around the inside of the die for the smaller images, and cut out with scissors. With Dark Brown, and Black Copic Markers, color the foil. NOTE: I used very little Black. With a cotton ball and Copic Blender Solution, lightly wipe the foil so the design from the die template becomes visible. Glue the images to all pieces, and let dry. With Diamond Glaze cover all images (pretty thick), and let dry. Punch holes in the top of each piece, insert a silver links. Add a long chain for the necklace, and earrings attach earring pieces. Finally, add some bling all the way around the large piece, and one at the bottom of each earring.
Supplies:
Spellbinders: S4-294 Beaded Ovals #1 and #2. S4-110 Classic Ovals Large #1.
Images: Birds & Blossoms Creative Scraps – Crafty Secrets.
Cardstock: Black – Stampin’ Up!
Copic Markers: E47-Dark Brown, 100-Black Copic Markers.

Americans will have to have a civil war or revolution based on poverty like in France or Russia before such an extreme system as has developed becomes tabu (like a strong currency is aboslutely necessary in Germany due to perceptiopn of inflation bringing down Weimar Republic for example).
