Hi everyone, and welcome to another blog hop with the E-Team. Our mission today was to use the Paper Rosette Die by Tim Holtz, and make something fun to share. So I made this cute flower arrangement in a watering can. It was really fun to make, and the easiest way to explain how I made it was to do a tutorial. I’m sure there are may ways to make some of things shown here, but what you see is what worked for me LOL! I used the Wizard Die Cutting Machine by Spellbinders and the regular sandwich.
Find more inspiration from the E-Team. View different samples and projects that were all created with this Paper Rosette die.
The E-Team
You need to visit each E-Team Designers blog, then go over to the eclectic Paperie blog and tell eP which was your favorite paper rossete project(s). There are dies to be given away over on eP’s blog, and eP will be giving away a package with the paper rosette die package.
Thanks for visiting today – Hugs Linda
Tutorial starts here.
Here you see one Rosette that has been cut, and assembled at regular size. I cut another Rosette, and cut 1/4” off the bottom.
In this picture, you can see the different size of each Rosette.
When you mash your Rosette down on paper (I used white so you can see) trace around the edge with a pencil. As you can see I just eyeballed it, and cut out. You would want to use cardstock that matches your flower. Later you will see how I covered the white.
I used Ranger Matte accents to glue in place.
Put something heavy on flower until dry.
Do the same thing for the larger flower.
Glue each layer as shown. Scrunch flower center.
Glue in place.
For the buds, I cut another Paper Rosette strip, then cut into four sections, staple at one end.
Cut wire and fold in half for stem.
Twist wire.
Insert both ends into bud on stapled end. Do this for each bud.
Wrap floral tape from top to bottom. NOTE: Green floral tape would be much better, but I didn’t have any.
I used Copic Markers to color stems.
Cut another circle like the previous white circle above, use pop dots, and glue wire stem in place.
Put finished flower on top of circle, and add button.
I hand drew long leaves, and cut out.
Sponged with Distress Ink.
Shape leaves.
Cut Styrofoam to fit in container, and glue in place. Then arrange the way you want.
Done.
