Good morning bloggers, welcome to another JustRite Friday Challenge (JR-073). The Challenge for this week is to create a card or project in any shape but square. Click HERE to find out all of the details.
For today's card I used JustRite's Anchors Away stamp set, and several Spellbinders die templates to create my take on a ship steering wheel/port hole LOL!. With Spellbinders die templates, I cut/embossed scrap pieces of white and blue cardstock, and applied gold around all the edges, then smeared it for an antique look. For the steering wheel, I used 2011 Snowflake Pendants die template to cut/emboss brown cardstock, and added more gold. I cut gold foil, embossed it with M-Bossabilities, used a brown Copic Marker making sure to cover the foil completly (be sure you get in all the detailed areas), then with a cotton ball and Copic Various ink, I rubbed some of the brown off so the detail shows up. And last, I added brads.
That's it for me today, be sure and visit JustRite's blog for more inspiration and information. Come join us if you can.

Amazing! I am so impressed. It really looks like a ship's wheel. I love the embossing and antiquing! Do I detect a theme in your recent works? LOL
