Hello again, I’m so glad you stopped by. Today I want to share a card with you that’s not my norm. As much as I love making flowers, pretty bows, and lots of layering this card has none of that LOL. This was a step outside my comfort zone, because I think more is better, less is much harder, and I admire the creators that do it so beautifully. All and all I’m pretty happy with this card, and think my DH will enjoy receiving it.
Making the balloon:
One: Cut/embossed the hot air balloon die template four times with four different pieces of designer paper, I used Prima Nature Garden (one of my favorites). The first layer is the entire die.
Two: To make each layer of the balloon (top), I used my scissors’ and cut along the embossed lines of each piece making each layer smaller than the one before.
Three: Add foam tape between each layer. NOTE: I added an extra step to give the ballon dimension. After step one and two I used my stylist to create a little bit of a curve by pressing down on the paper while on the foam pad, then added my foam pieces, distressed the edges, and assembled as shown.
Four: I cut the red hearts by hand, tied silver bows, and added some black self-adhesive rhinestones, then finishing with a touch of Wink of Stella.
That’s it for today, I'll be back soon.
Thanks for visiting, Linda ❤❤
