A Mojo Christmas Card

Hello again dear friends, I’m sneaking in another quick post today, I’m juggling back and forth with crafting, and cooking this week.  As much as I love the Christmas Season, I don’t like the running around getting ready LOL!!  We (DH & I) combined Thanksgiving/Christmas dinner with the kids in the middle of December because the kids have such a difficult time going from place to place on Thanksgiving Day & Christmas Day.  However, this year we are blessed to have Hazel (MIL) living with us, so we’ll have a little Thanksgiving dinner on Thanksgiving Day for the three of us.

Today’s card was created using Mogo Monday’s card sketch here.  I didn’t post it on there blog, I just used it to help get my Mojo going today LOL!

A Christmas Wish

Hello there, and welcome back.  I don’t know about you, but with Thanksgiving next week it’s been crazy around our house.  My dear sweet husband gave me my Christmas present early this year so I can use it in preparation of our Thanksgiving/Christmas parties/get togethers.  I’ve wanted the KitchenAid Stand Mixer for about four years now, and was shocked when it arrived in my kitchen.  I'm not a great cook, but I love to bake, and do a pretty good job LOL!  If you have one of these mixers, I would love to hear about your favorite recipes  :)

I love all things Vintage, and that's what I had in mind when I made today's card.  It's for a dear friend that loves vintage almost as much as I do.  The colors are perfect, and the gold embossed Lavish Corners Background stamp added a great finishing touch.

It’s a Guy Thing…

Hello again, and welcome back.  Today I have a project that's definitely meant for the guy friends you know that’s not into lace and bows LOL!!  We have several Fireman friends we give gifts to that I put bought tags on, not one I’ve made.  So this year, I thought I would try and make a few masculine tags for them (way outside my comfort zone).

Believe Christmas Ornament

It’s been so long since my last post, so your probably wondering where have I been?  Tosha Leyendekker, and I left early Wednesday for Pasadena, and returned on the Sunday.  We had to leave early so we could be at LAX by noon to pick up our good friend Becca Feeken, who flew in from FL.  Once we found Becca, we had lunch, then checked into The Langham Huntington Hotel. We went to an event called Spellbound in Pasadena CA for three wonderful days of classes, visiting with some very talented ladies, and ate some of the best food I've ever had.  What a wonderful time we had, we roomed together, took the same classes together, and talked the evenings away.  When I finish my class projects, I will post them here to share with you.  Now I need to catch up here on my blog LOL! 

I love the colors of this ornament, and I really like Spellbinders 2011 Heirloom Ornament die template.  I cut/embossed the ornament using Kaisercraft’s St. Nicholas paper pad, then stamped JustRite’s Moroccan Lattice Background Stamp using the VersaMark Watermark Stamp Pad, and Gold Embossing powder.  With a small sponge, I lightly shaded some of the stamped design with Aged Mahogany Distress Ink. After adding my lace, I used glue and added some glitter over it, then added my tag and letters.  I sprayed Glimmer Mist on Ivory Wrinkle Ribbon, and attached as shown.

Christmas Wreath and Video

Hello and welcome back.  Today I'm sharing my second project for The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store's 12 Days of CAS Christmas, with a video :)  It's been a while since I've made a video, but I wanted to show you how easy it is to work with Spellbinders Build A Wreath die template, and how fast it goes together.  All I did was cut/emboss, sponged, and assemble as shown.

I mentioned above it's been a while since I've made a video, so I'm a little rusty LOL!  Like all my past video's this one has music, so if you are blog surfing late at night remember to turn your volume down.

Glorious Season - 12 Days of CAS Christmas

Hi there, once again Sharon over at The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store is doing the 12 Days of CAS Christmas for 12 consecutive days.  We were asked to create a CAS Christmas project, but stay true our normal style.  For me CAS are the hardest cards to make, trust me I've tried, and I admire the many talented artist that can do it. So, today I let the cardstock, and die templates do all the work ;)  Here's how. 

I cut/embossed different decorative cardstock from Kaisercraft St. Nicholas 6 1/2” Paper Pad, except the red for the flower as follows: 

• Light Green -  Majestic Labels Twenty-Five #4 & #5.
• Light Green with Red Flowers -  Labels Twenty-Five #4, sponge around edges with Vintage Photo.
• Light Tan - Labels Twenty-Five #3, sponge around edges with Vintage Photo.  Stamp sentiment with Aged Mahogany. 
• Red Cardstock - Layered Poinsettia, sponge Aged Mahogany to flower centers, and shape. 
• I cut the gold metallic sheet using a paper cutter to fit under the largest Majestic Labels Twenty-Five die (Light Green).
• Cut red cardstock (from the St. Nicholas paper pad), using a paper cutter just a little bit larger then the gold metallic sheet.
• Layer all pieced together using 3D foam squares, adding your ribbon between the gold and red layer.
• Tie your bow.
• Glue the bow, flower and leaf in place.
• Your finished.
