Shell Beauty 3D M-Bossabilities

Hi there, have you ever just wanted to play with new stamps/dies/techniques what ever it is, and have no plan for what you are making, just enjoy the tools you were playing with? That's the story about today's card... just having fun with the process of creating :)  One of my goals this year is to step outside my comfort zone, and try new and different styles/techniques of creating.  That's hard for me, I've always been so structured with what I make, and never really just let go.  This should be an interesting journey :)

I started with Spellbinders 5 x 7 Matting Basic "A" Nestabilities, then cut (no emboss) Vanilla cardstock. With different colors of Glimmer Mist, spritz the inside of the M-Bossabilities folder (whichever side you want).  Place your cardstock in the folder, and run it through the Grand Calibur, set it aside and let dry.  I used the drybrush technique and Distress Inks to add color, but not to much.  I wanted a little more color, so I used Copic Markers over the inks, making sure not to take away from the soft background.  I wanted the M-Bossabilities folder to be the focal point of the card, so I didn't want to add to many embellishments, just the sentiment with twine. 

My pictures are darker so you can see the beautiful detail of the 3D M-Bossabilities folder.

Crafty Secrets New "Creating with Vintage Illustrations" CD

Hello there.  All this week the Crafty Secrets Design Team will be posting projects created with Crafty Secrets new "Creating with Vintage Illustrations" CD. Wait till you see what the rest of the girls have to share!!

Little Cowboy - Spellbinders

Hello there, it's been a while, and as most of you know we are having our entire house tiled, it's a long SLOW process...  as of today, we actually have two rows of tile on our bathroom wall, and that's it...  it's taking forever.  So, if I go missing for a few days between post, that's why.

I've had this sweet little image finished for the longest time, and thought since I don't have lots of time today I should use him, and just put my card together.  I love him, he is so sweet, and fun to color.

MoJo Monday 193 - Crafty Secrets

Hello there,  I have a quick post for you today as I'm running out the door.  I mentioned before I love the sketches over on Mojo Monday's Sketch Blog, and when I retired I wanted to play along each week...  Well, due to all the things going on around our house I haven't been able to join in very much.  I have been working on this card all week trying to get if finished before next Monday's sketch LOL!!, and finally have it ready to post today.  All of the cardstock used on this project is Very Vanilla from Stampin' Up!, but I used Crafty Secrets new CD, and printed the patterned paper on the Very Vanilla; pretty cool don't you think?  I used Spellbinders Grand Squares die template for my card base, (cut two) one from each of the patterned papers shown.  The little flower is made from felt with Diamond Stickles lightly added to the top edge.

E-Team and Stampavie Design Team- It's Better with Color! Blog Hop

For the last few days I've had bad sinus issues...  the weather here in California is cloudy, windy and rainy.  When the pressure system is bad, my face feels like someone is pounding on it.  All I've been doing the last couple of days is sleeping and watching TV, no stamping here.

For my project today I picked this darling image from Stampavie called Fleur Gathering Flowers with Manon available at eP.  Because the detail in this image is so dainty, I thought using black ink to stamp it would look to harsh, so I used the Latte Adirondack Dye Pad instead. I must admit I use the Latte stamp pad more than black to stamp my images, and for that very reason...  it's much softer.   The cardstock used on this project is from pinkpaislee's Butterfly Garden Collection, it's very soft and pretty so I picked my Copic Markers to match the paper.  Once I colored in my base color, and shadowing with the Markers, I used my PrismaColor Pencils to add the little details, and more shadowing.  Because the image lines were light to begin with,  I use the brown Sakura .05 Archival Ink Pen (Copic Multiliner can be used for this) to sketch in the original lines (not drawing a heavy line, just lightly sketching them back in).

Little Bird - Spellbinders

Hello again, I have LOTS of photo's in this post LOL! You can always tell when I like what I've made because I take a lot of pictures.  I love the colors on this card, but it was hard to take a good picture, because there's not a lot of white, so I did the best I could. 

As mush as I love making flowers, I love all the new Prima papers, flowers, and embellishments available at  The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.  I used Copic Markers to color the bird to match the cardstock, cut out the entire image, then attached it with foam tape to the airbrushed circle Nestabilities below it.  I truly wish you could see this in real life... so pretty.

Crafty Secrets and eclectic Paperie (Shabby) Blog Hop

   

Hello and welcome to a special event with Crafty Secrets, and eclectic Paperie (Shabby) Blog Hop today.  I'm so fortunate to be a Designer for both of these fabulous Design Teams, and very talented Designers, so today is very exciting for me to be able to work with both at the same time.  :)

I've been on the Crafty Secrets Design Team for quite some time now, and hope I never have to leave.  I love all of their quality vintage/shabby products because I'm a shabby kind-a girl, like I've always said "I love all things vintage", and I don't believe that will every change.  So working with Crafty Secrets Products is like being a kid in a candy store LOL!!

I haven't been on eclectic Paperie's Design Team very long, but truly love being here. Daisy carries several different product lines including Crafty Secrets, so I get to work with products I never thought I would ever be interested in like "Grunge"...  As mentioned above being a vintage/shabby girl, I've learned that "Grunge" fits right into that vintage style that I love so much.  So, I'm lovin' being in the position of both Design Teams, that work so well together.
