Just popping to say Hello ;)

It seems like ages since I’ve been here, but I wanted to pop in and say hello.  I’ve had absolutely no mojo lately with regard crafting so I thought I would take time doing other things, but nothing in particular.

I do want to share a few items that I purchased lately, and hopefully get to use them soon.  First up is my new Sizzix Big Shot, LOVE it:

Next up is my new Cricut Explore Air:  I love that it has an app for both the iPad & iPhone that I can use when I not sitting in my craft room. 

 

I’m looking forward to using both of them with Christmas right around the corner, so I hope to be back soon.

Happy Mother’s Day Banner

Hello everyone!  I hope you are enjoying your weekend; we are super excited today because we (California) got a little rain…  not a lot, but some.  We need it so bad, I live in the central valley and the farmers in our area are pulling out the majority of their crops/groves because we have very little water.  Praying we get more.

I’m running short on time today so this will be short, but I wanted to share my “Happy Mother’s Day Banner” with you.  The colors are my favorite, and I truly love the Baby Buntings and Garden Blooms die templates from Spellbinders for "A Gilded Life".  I love all the new products that “A Gilded Life” released, but I haven’t had the time to sit and create projects with them yet.  The Garden Blooms flowers are made from fabric following the video in this post.  I need to mention I did not make this video, I found it on YouTube while searching for different flower techniques, I found it inspiring, easy to follow, and wanted to share with you.

Hi There

Hello dear blog friends :) checking in to say hello, and say things around my house haven’t changed much, still busy, busy, and very busy.  Fortunately I’m going to take a little break from everything, and go to the coast for a couple of days with my girls…  I’m excited about that.  I can’t tell you how long it’s been since I’ve went anyway just to relax and have fun.  I’m leaving early in the morning, and returning Thursday afternoon.  I should have a new project posted here late Thursday night, or early Friday morning, I was trying to finish it before I left, unfortunately that didn’t work out.

I will be back soon.

This is for Missy

Last Monday I had no choice but to have my little Missy put to sleep.  A few months back she became sick, and never really recovered, or acted the same. Recently she started having seizures, that grew more frequent, and more violent, our Vet said it was the most human thing to do...   

She was my best friend and constant companion, I will miss her terribly.  She loved being with me regardless where we went, or what we were doing.  She especially loved riding in the car, and looking out the window.

I'm thankful you were a part of my life Missy, you will never be forgotten.

A Pleasant Surprise...

When we returned home last weekend from my MIL's house, we had this beautiful card in our mailbox from Barbara Schram, a designer for The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store design team.  It's just beautiful, and it truly touched us both.  Thank you so much Barb, you have know idea how much this meant to us.  If you want to see more of Barb's beautiful art, you can visit her blog here, she's one very talented lady, and so sweet, I'm honored to be on a Design Team with her.

Things around Hazel's House

Well for some reason my computer won't recognize my camera's SD card that I've been using so I can't share my card with you today...  I guess I need a new SD card... that's pretty frustrating for sure, I had know idea that could happen...  But, while I was at Hazel's (MIL) house last week, I took some pictures with my cell phone, and emailed them to my home computer.   I thought I would share some of the her lovely antique's she has collected, she love's her handmade porcelain dolls. 

I will purchase a new SD card, and have more of my projects to share with you later in the week.

 

 

Hazel does beautiful hand embroidery, this is one of the pillow case's she created.

 

 

She's also very good at flower arranging.  She added lace, ribbon and flowers to both of these hats.

 

 

 

 

This is a small part of her wonderful doll collection,  they are so pretty in their cabinet's.

Hi there....

Hello dear readers, I'm sorry I haven't posted anything the last couple of weeks, but things on this end have been crazy.  My sweet MIL has taken a turn for the worst, she's lost 10 lbs. in three weeks, and is so weak.  The Dr. told us her situation has turned to grim...  it's so sad, and sad to watch her health go down so fast.  We are on our way back to her house for the week, I promise I will make a few things to share with you.  Please keep Hazel in your thoughts and prayers, we appreciate them so much.
