Good morning and welcome to the first Stamp Simply Ribbon Store blog hop. As a thank you for joining us today, one luck commenter will receive a complete Webster’s Pages Postcards from Paris Kit! But, if you are starting here you are in the wrong place. You must first visit Sharon Johnson (Stamp Simply Ribbon Store), where she will give you more instructions about the hop, and the next blog for you to visit. In order to be in the drawing, you are encouraged to leave comments along the way. Each Design Team member’s blog will be given a number, and at 6pm on Saturday February 27, 2010, a number will be drawn that corresponds to the blogs involved. Example: Seven Design Team Members would represent numbers 1 through 7. This number will be drawn by Random.org that will indicate which blog the prize will be drawn from. Once again Random.org will be used to draw another number from the comments left on that blog…thus creating our lucky winner for the Webster’s Pages Kit, that will be notified via e-mail. While commenting is not required, it is highly recommended so that you will be eligible for the drawing. Good luck ;)
Our theme for today’s hop is called Be True To Yourself, since I love all thing vintage, whenever I can I try to create that style. I also love making flowers, although the one’s shown on this card I had never made before but, they were quite fun. They started off with a circle (largest flower is a 3” circle), find the center, and draw a spiral line from the edge to the circle center, cut on the line. Start wrapping from the outside toward the center. I used a medium size glue dot to hold in place, but I’m sure glue would work. The rest of the card was made by cutting out images from other pieces of cardstock in the kit, then tie a beautiful bow using May Arts ribbon layered on top of the Crochet Lace. Before I assembled my card, I used my sewing machine to sew around the larger pieces of cardstock.
The next blog for you to visit is Barb Schram, but remember you should start at the beginning with Sharon Johnson Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.
